Terms of Use
Last updated: 11 August 2026 · Pome for iOS and Android is made by Nsonia LLC.
Pome is a tool, like a two-way radio: it connects the phones around you
directly, with no server in the middle and no operator who can see, store, or
remove what people say. What it carries is up to the people using it — and to
these rules, which you agree to in the app before your radios turn on.
One rule, zero tolerance
No abuse, no harassment. Using Pome to hurt people forfeits your standing to
use it. Prohibited content and behavior, in full:
- Threats of violence, or encouraging violence or self-harm
- Harassment, bullying, or targeted abuse of any person
- Hate directed at people for who they are — race, ethnicity, religion,
gender, sexuality, disability, or the like
- Any sexual content involving minors, without exception; and any sexual
contact with or advances toward minors
- Impersonating another person to deceive the people around you
- Spam, and deliberate disruption of rooms or games
- Anything that is illegal where you are
The controls are yours
Because there is no server, moderation lives on your device, and it is
immediate:
- The language filter starts on. It masks abusive language in what
you see, and it works without any connection.
- Block & report is one tap — long-press anyone. Everything
they've said disappears from your device instantly, and they stay
blocked. No review queue, no waiting.
- Rooms live only while someone keeps them. Walk away and an
abandoned room — and its history — goes with you.
Reports act on your device rather than being sent to a moderation
service, because nothing you do in Pome is sent to us — there is no us to send
it to. If you encounter something that should involve the police, contact the
police; your device holds your copy of the evidence.
Ordinary terms
- Pome is provided as-is, free, with no warranty of any kind.
- You must comply with the rules above to use it; they are part of the
agreement you accept in the app.
- Radio conditions vary: delivery of any particular message is never
guaranteed.
- These terms may be updated here; continued use means the current
version applies.
